Multimedia Journalism Intern – Edible Indy®

Edible Indy is welcoming our first intern for Summer 2026! As a multimedia journalism intern, you’ll be covering stories of food and drink across our digital and print platforms. This hybrid position will allow you to flexibly work from our office in Noblesville, Indiana or anywhere around the city. This is the perfect experience for an aspiring journalist to cover restaurants and dining for a regional publication. 

For this role, you’ll pitch and write stories for both digital and print. You’ll be responsible for conducting interviews, attending events, and visiting restaurants, and gathering content for social platforms. Our ideal candidate is naturally curious, passionate about local food, and diligent with their work. 

This 10 week internship spans from May through August with a flexible start date and is based in the Indianapolis area.

Requirements for the Role:

• Currently working toward a degree in journalism, media, communications, or similar fields OR have completed a high school level education and have evidence of working toward a career in journalism or similar.
• Access to transportation to the Noblesville office at least once per week
• Access to transportation to various locations around the Indianapolis area
• Proficiency in writing for magazines
• Experience conducting interviews over the phone or in person

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of the Indianapolis Area
• Experience creating organic video content for social media
