Coming in hot off of the opening of their Broad Ripple location earlier this month, Stick & Hack is continuing the rollout of their plans for the former West Fork Whiskey complex. Although the key dining concept from the previous owners, Mash House, has remained open to guests this summer, the restaurant officially transitions to a new menu and name next week. Parkside Bar & Grill, an elevated Americana restaurant, has undergone a complete transformation inside and out, with a refreshed space and new menu items ready for sampling. Parkside will feature local favorites from the former Mash House menu, plus some long-requested additions like lighter health-minded options, an extended kids menu, and some extended variations on staples like their wings and loaded nachos.
Parkside Bar & Grill, located within Stick & Hack Westfield, is the first fully realized space of the plans Stick & Hack laid out for the campus earlier this year. More rollouts are planned for later this fall, including the addition of golf and racing simulators, darts, Lucky Putt, outdoor recreation area, and multiple dining and bar areas.
Here’s what to expect from the new Parkside menu:
Mash House Favorites Stick Around
Westfield regulars will be happy to note that Kearstyn’s Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich and the plated tenderloin are staying on the Parkside menu. New Executive Chef, MJ Hounin and Sous Chef Kearstyn Acker is helping Stick & Hack owners Matt Whitlow and Adam Grubb transition the space to the Parkside concept.
“I would describe the menu as an elevated Midwest-themed menu,” said Acker. “We’re going to have a roasted half chicken dinner, we’re going to do a ribeye. The mac and cheese, fish and chips, stuff that makes you feel like home but fancy.”
The tenderloin sandwich, Parkside burger, truffle burger and pulled pork sandwich are all sticking around as they were, and so are the hot honey mac and cheese and pork chop.
Extended Menu for Kids and Lunching Parents
With the unveiling of the new Parkside menu, guests will also find extended offerings for kids with more complete meal options for families coming through Grand Park. This will include scaled down hot meals, and lighter options for kids that might be between games.
In addition, parents will get a host of extended salad options and a create-your-own power bowl option, with the hope that parents in search of something fresher than the ballpark standard will find their place at Parkside.

“A lot of people aren’t wanting something super heavy. They want something a little lighter, but still filling,” Acker said.
A refreshed version of the black bean burger will also help expand vegetarian offerings to the Parkside menu. This was a big priority for Acker, who said they commonly got requests for gluten free and vegan options.
“I feel that it’s harder to find vegetarian, pescatarian, or gluten-free hot menu items,” Acker said, “so with the quinoa bowl, they add whatever they want to it and it gives them the control and comfort to not stray from their dietary needs.”
A New Twist on Familiar Favorites
Stick and Hack is taking a swing at some extended options for their nachos beyond the beloved brisket with the addition of more traditional nacho configurations. Parkside will also keep the wings, and extend the offerings again to include a cauliflower variation.
The bar offerings are expanding with Parkside Bar & Grill, with a wider selection of liquor, whiskey, and cocktails joining West Fork Whiskey on the menu. The bar also offers a variety imports and domestic beers, as well as seltzers like Surfside and Long Drink.
The long anticipated return of fried green tomatoes is being ushered in by the Parkside staff, much to the gratitude of the Westfield regulars who raved about them in their short run. Parkside is also adding a fried green tomato BLT to its list of sandwich options.
“We’ve heard a lot of people wanting that back, which I’m excited about,” Acker said.
A few options from Parks Place Pub, another of Whitlow’s restaurants, will appear on the Parkside Bar & Grill menu. Acker mentioned that Parks Place’s beloved tacos and Philly steak sandwich are making their way over to Stick and Hack Westfield.
Although the full Stick and Hack Westfield location will open in phases throughout the fall, Parkside Bar & Grill is the first of its concepts in the building to be fully realized. Parkside Bar & Grill is now serving their new menu Tuesday – Thursday 11a.m. to 9p.m., Friday & Saturday 11a.m. to 10p.m., and Sunday 11a.m. to 8p.m.
