An award-winning brand of tequila—Exotico—is calling on Indy’s mixologists. The challenge: create your take on a cocktail using Exotico Blanco or Reposado Tequila as the base spirit. Exotico is one of Mexico’s most respected makers of tequila, handcrafting each batch using “premium 100% Weber Blue agave grown in the Highlands of Jalisco.”
Wining mixologists will be selected from all over the U.S. and invited to cross-compete in a second challenge to win a trip to Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans in July 2018. “Finalists will compete once more for the Grand Prize: an all-expense paid trip to Jalisco, Mexico, to visit Exotico Tequila’s distillery, Destiladora González y González,” and its agave fields.

How to Apply
Online applications are now being accepted for Make It Exotico semifinal event consideration. Entrants can submit their Exotico Tequila cocktail recipes to www.bit.do/makeitexotico until December 20, 2017. The competition is open to all U.S. bartenders. The Competition
Want to get a taste of the final entries? The Indy semifinal is free and open to the public and will be held on March 20. You’ll get to vote on your favorite cocktail and “crowd-favorite winners will receive a gift card.” Look for more details from us in 2018.
