Sorry, We’re Closed isn’t just your average pop-up bar—it’s a space where local bartenders, chefs, and creatives come together to create something truly special. Inspired by the vibrant energy of Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans, this pop-up series offers one-night-only events that let you discover fresh talent and enjoy some seriously creative cocktails.
Founded by Ellie Lord, Social Media Marketing Coordinator and Bartender at BODHI, and then brought to life by her and her partner, Dalton Lineback, Beverage Director at BODHI, each event features a rotating cast of professionals, offering the community a chance to discover new talent and appreciate the artistry behind carefully crafted cocktails.

Celebrating Local Talent
Each event is a mash-up of creativity, featuring bartenders, chefs, and even photographers, with the goal of bringing fresh experiences to the city. One of the team’s favorite events was the BODHI Garden Party, a fully immersive garden-themed gathering that included live music, six bartenders, and a chef, all collaborating under one roof.
Lord’s journey in the food industry started in college, working as a server, and it was at BODHI where she truly found her calling. Teaming up with Lineback, they’re working toward their ultimate dream: opening their own cocktail bar in Indy.
A Revolving Door of Creativity
The real magic behind Sorry, We’re Closed is the rotating roster of talent it brings to the table. Every event is a unique experience, with bartenders, chefs, and the event spaces themselves changing each event, ensuring there’s always something new to discover. The cocktails aren’t your everyday drink, and that’s the point—they’re works of art, crafted with flavors that push boundaries and keep things exciting.

It’s all about giving Indy’s best a platform to showcase their skills, whether it’s through a carefully constructed drink or an incredible meal. Every event is a chance to witness something new, and it’s clear the team behind it is all about fostering creativity and community.
So, if you’re looking for a night out that’s anything but ordinary, Sorry, We’re Closed is a pop-up experience you won’t want to miss. Keep an eye out for their next event—you never know what fresh idea they’ll bring to the table. Follow them on social media to stay up to date on events and get on the list for the next one.
