The venture is a family affair, spearheaded by husband-and-wife team Lisa Wampler and Chef Bill Wampler, and Lisa’s sister Chamron Baird. The name itself holds a special meaning, with “ellis” serving as a playful nod to the sisterly bond – ellis standing for the L-S in “Lil Sis.” 

“BE, as we like to call it,” says co-owner Lisa Wampler.

MODERN AMERICAN COMFORT FOOD

Chef Bill Wampler’s menu focuses on American comfort food, elevated with fresh, seasonal ingredients. “While diners can expect timeless favorites, there will also be an extensive list of vegan options,” says Baird, who is vegan herself. And even foodies who aren’t vegan shouldn’t shy away from these delicious, creative takes on the classic. “It’s a chance to expand your palette or enjoy a sometimes healthier take on a traditional dish,” says Lisa.

AFTER DARK TRANSFORMATION

But bar ellis doesn’t stop at dinner. After the sun goes down, the atmosphere transforms into a lively “after dark” scene. The rooftop bar comes alive with live music, featuring local and regional artists. Patrons can also expect special events like DJ sets and comedy nights, making bar ellis the perfect spot for an after-work drink or a late-night rendezvous.

“My passion lies in creating unforgettable experiences, where every guest feels welcomed and valued. Our goal goes beyond serving food and drinks; it’s about creating memories, dancing with your girlfriends, listening to your favorite local band or having the best date night ever, at your new favorite local bar!” says Lisa Wampler.
