Waterman’s Family Farm is a hub of seasonal festivities like The Fall Harvest Festival, running now through October 31st. With rides, games, hayrides, and animal encounters, it’s the perfect Fall activity to get you in the spirit. Explore the intricate corn maze, challenge friends to pumpkin bowling, or take a relaxing hayride through the vibrant foliage. Or say hello to Tyranny, the pumpkin-chomping dinosaur. Live music. Delicious food. Family fun. What more could you want?
A Sensory-Friendly Experience
Waterman Family Farm is committed to inclusivity. For the duration of their Fall Festival, the farm offers sensory-friendly environment every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for individuals who benefit from a quieter, calmer atmosphere.
A Southside Tradition
Throughout the year, the farm hosts other events, including the Strawberry Festival, Blueberry Festival, Back to School Bash, and Sunflower Festival. And there’s even more to come – a you-pick flower garden is in the works!
Waterman’s Family Farm has been a cherished part of the community for generations. “It’s a Southside thing,” said Jill Vandegriff, an advocate for Waterman’s Family Farm.
“Many families have made it a tradition to visit the farm for pumpkins, strawberries, and other seasonal delights. It’s just what you do.”
Today, Carol Waterman, proudly carries on this family heritage, after the passing of her late husband, Bruce Waterman, a couple of years ago. Their dedication to sustainable farming practices and commitment to providing high-quality produce has earned them the prestigious designation of a Hoosier Heritage Farm through the Indiana Grown Programs.
Visit the Farm Market Year-Round
Waterman’s Family Farm offers a delightful farm market brimming with seasonal delights. From the vibrant hues of 17 varieties of peppers and tomatoes to pumpkin squash and earthy beets, you’ll find an abundance of locally grown produce to savor.
