Indianapolis is quickly becoming a culinary hotspot, and Baby Got Brunch is at the heart of the city’s vibrant food scene. This annual festival is more than just a celebration of brunch; it’s a community gathering that brings together food lovers, local businesses, and charitable causes.
Founded by food and hospitality veterans Bridget and Ashley, Baby Got Brunch was born out of a shared passion for brunch and a desire to create a unique event for Indianapolis. What started as a small gathering has blossomed into a highly anticipated festival showcasing the city’s culinary talent.
“Brunch is a lifestyle,” says Ashley, capturing the essence of the event. “People like to dress up to go to brunch. It’s an all-day affair.”
This year, Baby Got Brunch is returning to the iconic Victory Field, offering guests a chance to savor unlimited samples from over 30 local chefs, enjoy an open bar, and soak up the lively atmosphere. But the event is about more than just food and drink.
A portion of every ticket sold benefits a local nonprofit addressing childhood food insecurity. This year’s beneficiary is 91 Place, an organization providing wraparound services to unhoused youth in Indianapolis.
“Our mission behind this food festival is really for a good cause,” Bridget explains. “Our donation will go directly to their food program.”
Beyond the culinary delights and charitable mission, Baby Got Brunch showcases the diversity and creativity of Indianapolis’ food scene. “We really love to highlight local places that you may not have heard of,” says Ashley. From classic brunch fare to innovative dishes like brunch pizza, there’s something to tantalize every taste bud.
One of the unique aspects of Baby Got Brunch is the opportunity for guests to interact with the chefs who create the dishes. “Guests get to actually talk to the chefs,” says Ashley. “The chefs are excited to get their name out there, have this experience, and be a part of the community. They enjoy being able to chat with the people that are tasting their food.”
This direct connection between chefs and diners fosters a sense of community and allows guests to learn more about the inspiration behind each dish. Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or simply looking for a fun day out, Baby Got Brunch offers an unforgettable experience.
In addition to the delicious food, the festival features live music, local artisans, and a variety of activities for guests to enjoy. The event has become a beloved tradition for many Indianapolis residents, and organizers continue to expand and improve the experience each year.
“We’ve added a third bar this year,” says Ashley. “We have a new VIP ticket this year that will include some separate live music and other exclusive food vendors that are not included in the regular general admission. There will be a relaxing lounge available in the VIP, chair massages, and live cello music!.”
General admission tickets are $65 and include access to the festival from 11:30 AM to 2 PM. Early entry tickets are $95 and allow guests to enter at 10 AM. The VIP ticket, priced at $125 offers exclusive perks and amenities.
