Milk & Honey Coffeehouse Launches Summer Menu Options

Among the quaint, historic community of Wanamaker, Indiana, 27-year-old Taylor Hummel, owner of Milk and Honey Coffeehouse, has been working away at a seasonal menu inspired by nostalgic summer treats. Each quarter, her pale yellow and blue coastal-inspired shop crafts a menu to compliment the changing season. 

Milk and Honey’s summer 2026 menu is the culmination of Hummel and her staff’s fondest summer memories and their favorite warm-weather treats. The new menu comprises 11 different coffee and matcha options, designed to reflect long nights around a campfire snacking on s’mores, and memories of vacations walking around a salty beach boardwalk. 

“This one just feels very nostalgic to me because the summer nights, the camp fire, and the boardwalk latte, they bring you back to when you were a kid during summertime,” Hummel said. “But then we also have new flavors that people will be able to try that are refreshing. It just feels very nostalgic for me.” 

The Boardwalk Latte layers funnel cake, white chocolate, vanilla and salted caramel flavors. This latte was inspired by family beach vacations, specifically walking around a boardwalk lined with sweets and salt air.  

The Campfire Latte blends toasted marshmallow, cookie butter and graham cracker flavors, dawing inspiration from late nights around a crackling campfire and the slow ritual of roasting marshmallows. 

Hummel’s Strawberry Crumble Latte draws flavors from Strawberry Shortcake Bars, a treat she describes as a summer staple. The Strawberry Crumble Latte incorporates tastes of almond, strawberry and vanilla, and is topped with whipped cream and strawberry crumble pieces.

The interior of Milk & Honey Coffeehouse was designed to reflect Hummel’s time spent living in Hawaii a few years ago, where she worked as a kindergarten teacher. Most of the decorations in the shop, including the surf board hanging on the wall, were decor pieces from her home in Hawaii. The New Palestine-native lived in Hawaii after graduating from Hillsdale College in Michigan with degrees in English and philosophy. 

Milk and Honey Coffeehouse is located at 8505 Southeastern Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46239. Its hours are Monday-Friday, 6 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Saturday, 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. Its seasonal menus, as well as pop up events, can be found on its Instagram page, @milkhoneycoffeehouse.
